Responsible Consumption and Production

As its immediate response to SDG 12 that is crucial to achieving the UAE Vision 2021, the UAE launched a three-year-long initiative for National Environment Day under the theme 'Sustainable Consumption and Production 2017-2019' that aimed to promote responsible consumption and production (SCP) patterns. In February 2019, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) introduced the UAE National Sustainable Consumption and Production Plan (2019-2030) Framework, which builds on existing initiatives that provide opportunities for synergy and transformation.
