The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure participated in the activities of the virtual summer camp organized by the Ministry of Culture and Youth; in the National Ambassadors Program "Readiness", and in the Enrichment Summer Camp organized virtually by the Ministry of Education, which comes within the various student activities of the 2020 summer. It aimed at giving students an opportunity to develop their skills, develop their capabilities, and establish a culture of transferring knowledge from experts to the future generation, which represents a major engine for effective participation in the next fifty years strategy, leading to the UAE Centennial 2071. The employees of the Ministry have participated in providing 21 specialized workshops for the participants, during which the students participating in the National Ambassadors Program "Readiness" and in the Enrichment Summer Camp organized by the Ministry of Education, were introduced to the National Energy Strategy 2050, to the vocational training for clean energy, and to community behavior and awareness in the field of renewable energy; as well as having an educational lecture on oil and gas, ways of sustainability in mining industries, crude oil and methods of extracting it. In addition, they had also an introductory workshop for dams in the United Arab Emirates. The participants in the virtual summer camp organized by the Ministry of Culture and Youth were introduced to: ways to plan for the post-Covid-19 phase, sustainable development goals, green and environmentally friendly roads, and how to invest in talent, as well as interactive smart cities, effective leadership skills, and other skills related to design, the solar power generation plant, the fundamentals of innovation and its tools, the future of infrastructure projects and their management in the United Arab Emirates, as well as innovation in ambitious engineering, and the best practices in the field of smart road infrastructure that aim to build generations equipped with the best skills and capabilities to contribute to the march of sustainable development of the United Arab Emirates. In addition, H.E Eng. Sharif Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, said "The workshops presented by the employees of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure witnessed a great turnout from our students, future leaders who wish to acquire knowledge and gain practical experiences related to culture, creativity, and future skills, in addition to self-development and the development of their personalities in an integrated manner in line with the directions of the United Arab Emirates, which in turn embodies the depth of the wise leadership's vision of the need to empower the young generation to shape the future of the nation, and to preserve the achievements and gains made during the past fifty years and the path to the next fifty ones, building a bright future for the future generations. " H.E Al Olama added: "Our participation in the activities of the virtual summer camp reflects the direction of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in supporting the national initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering new generations and providing them with scientific and practical and successful experiences, which represent a beacon that illuminates the future path with its opportunities, challenges, and achievements that will constitute a beacon to the world ". For his part, H.E Eng. Hassan Muhammad Jumah Al-Mansoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, affirmed the Ministry's keenness to support the national competencies and provide them with experience and practical knowledge in engineering and administrative fields to become the nucleus of the future, and a major pivot for the crossing of UAE to the next fifty years; with all the challenges and opportunities it bears. His Excellency pointed out that the Ministry is also keen to carry out its societal responsibility that is consistent with the directions of the UAE government, which gives young generations a great attention, by empowering them and developing their skills in a way that serves the state's direction and wise leadership. He stressed at the same time that UAE is one of the first countries in investing on youth's energy to lead the future. The Ministry's participation in these summer programs comes in its passion to educate the new generation about energy, oil and gas and infrastructure concepts; and to instill the basics and principles of rationalization to preserve the sustainability of natural resources for the future generations.
