Life on Land

In line with the UAE Vision 2021, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) works to achieve SDG 15 by implementing several projects that aim to conserve and restore terrestrial habitats in cooperation with the concerned local authorities. The UAE has 33 land protected areas that are subject to legal protection, and the role of the protected areas is to help preserve the habitats and ecosystems of the wild biodiversity of the United Arab Emirates, in line with the UAE Vision 2021.
